Stainless striker assembly and backplate
I had a factory striker break, Taurus replaced it for free but I had to send it to them. (Apparently us common folk can’t be trusted to swap a basic component) If you’ve owned a Glock it’s virtually identical. Anyway, Lakeline part has a metal collar, so normally zero oil would go in there but metal to metal should always have a little lube. After a hundred dry fire pulls I have confidence in the mechanical function. I’ll strip it down after 500 rounds or so to see if the oil is catching carbon. Trigger break is very predictable with a good shelf and clean break. Pull weight feels the same as factory which is fine as reduced pull weight wasn’t the point. Quality machined steel parts was the point. Which they delivered, steel back plate with set screw is solid and a snug fit as it should be. Small daub of loctite and don’t over tighten. Added reliability with metal parts is what I wanted and what I got. I will update if needed after shooting it for a while but not much can go wrong with this part.
