Lakeline Stainless Steel Guide rods have a reputation for being tough, really tough!  The Lakeline Recoil assembly is designed to be the last recoil assembly your Taurus G3C, G2C, G2S or PT111 G2 will ever need.  It is designed to be maintainable so springs can be changed if or when they eventually wear out.  This is NOT a throw away, that must be replaced when it needs new springs.  Spare springs are readily available for the Lakeline recoil assembly. 
 
Now fully assembled!  Just field strip your pistol, lube it, and put it in.
 
With tens of thousands in use, these recoil assemblies have been proven for hundreds of thousands of rounds.  There is simply no more reliable recoil assembly for the Taurus.  No plastic, or thin drawn parts!  The recoil rod is a single piece with the flange,  the most highly stressed part, machined as one piece with the Guide Rod.  If your pistol is jammed from a failed factory or competitor's recoil assembly email our customer support to get instructions on how to get your pistol back apart.
 
Don't be TROLLED by false claims.  The reason that pistol manufacturers use DUAL SPRING assemblies in compact and sub-compact pistols is that having two spring constants to work with allows better control of the recoil pulse.  That means less felt recoil to the shooter and reliable function.  A single spring system isn't new, the 1911 was designed with one over 100 years ago!  It's cheaper to only have one spring, and no sleeve.  That approach just doesn't perform as well. The springs are made from the best spring wire available and carefully finished to make sure that they will not over ride themselves or the flanges they ride on.  The Lakeline springs rates are also optimized and provide a smoother recoil pulse than the factory parts while still shooting all standard rounds reliably.  You don't have to select a light spring, that doesn't tolerate heavy loads, nor a heavy spring, that may not cycle regular range ammo with the Lakeline recoil assembly.  By optimizing the spring rates, choosing spring material that doesn't weaken under use as much as typical and using better spring and sleeve lengths, this recoil assembly provides lighter recoil with range ammo all the way to +P rounds.

    10x better than Taurus stock poly/plastic guide rod

    Lakelines all stainless steel recoil assembly is a clear must have upgrade for the G3c. Immediately after install I could tell/feel a much more positive slide response. I will hold onto the stock assembly as I am not sure if this will void my warranty. Just remember to put a couple hundred rounds through your firearm to break in the new assembly. Side note, I opted for the all stainless, which makes the G3c look much better and less cheap than the painted black option.

    A good price for a quality Stainless Recoil Assembly. My factory one was starting to arch. It is a little stiffer than the factory spring. I can't say I felt a big difference in recoil but all around a smoother experience.

    Much more solid than the factory guide rod and spring. And much better looking. A little bit stiffer than the factory spring as well.

    A big difference!

    I purchased this, the Striker guide and Striker spring retainer simply because I despise having plastic or polymer parts inside my guns. They not only provide increased reliability, but also make the slide action feel crisp and smooth. And the Trigger action also feels much better. This convinced me to also purchase the threaded Barrel and Micro Compensator! Great parts all around.

    Installed on my new Taurus G3c and it works wonderfully. I also installed with the Stainless Steel Striker Guide at the same time. Smooths out the grittiness of the trigger pull just like they say it does. For the cost of these two items, I highly recommend for your G3c pistol.

    This is a very inexpensive and easy to install upgrade. If you own one of these pistols with a composite guide rod it should be a no brainer and you should already have the ability to swap it if you can remove the slide and remove the barrel which should be done if you are taking proper care of the firearm for cleaning and lubricating purposes. Just do it... you'll be glad that you did. I know I most certainly am.
