Drop in installation.  Unload your pistol, visually confirm it is unloaded. Field strip the slide off of the frame, remove the backplate and pull out the striker assembly, replace it with the new assembly.  Reinstall backplate and put the slide back onto the frame. See additonal notes below.
 
Additonal background:
In the stock trigger you can feel the uneven and nonlinear pull just before the trigger releases.  Replacing plastic stock striker components with precision CNC machined and polished stainless steel gives a consistent, low friction trigger pull.
 
The Lakeline Firing Pin is precison machined and uses the high performance precipitation hardened stainless steel that is electro-polished.  This firing pin is hard nosed and will give you lasting, impact strikes.
 
Some companies aggressively market titanium parts for firearms in the name of weight savings and there are application where that significantly higher cost makes sense. The Lakeline SureFire Stainless Steel Firing Pin weighs less than 0.2 oz, about the weight of 2 pennies; we don't think doubling the price of the firing pin is worth making it weigh 1 1/2 pennies. Titanium also readily deforms and has low elasticity compared to stainless - which means you will have to replace it more often. We prioritize high quality performance at a reasonable price.
 
This assembly is compatible with the Taurus G-Series, including G2C, G2S, G3, G3C, G3X, G3XL, PT111 G2, PT140, 709, and the PT111 Millennium handguns.  
 
It is NOT COMPATIBLE with the GX4 Series and the TH Series handguns.

Because PT111-G2 and PT140-G2 may require fitting of the Taurus Security System cam to install this part, we recommend installation only by a qualified gunsmith (for owners of these models only).  This product also disables the Taurus Security System lock when installed on a pistol if the pistol is so equipped.  This DOES NOT affect the manual safety.

    I received the striker assembly quickly. The installation was very easy to perform. Haven’t fired the pistol yet. Will review that later.

    This striker has taken my G2C trigger from feeling like an aluminum trashcan being drug through gravel, to a much smoother trigger pull. Original trigger feel also felt like there was lip that the trigger would get caught on sometimes. Now with this new Lakeline Striker assembly, that lip has not been felt again. Looking forward to putting many more rounds down range now.

    Taurus G3 firing pin

    Oringinal pin used plastic retainer parts. I found from Lakeline a upgrade and it truly is. The springs are better, retainers are 1 piece stainless steel, and the firing pin also is better polished. Definitely worth the $$. Fast ship and excellent communication.

    I ordered the Stainless Steel Striker Assembly for my new Taurus G2C. I made sure to go to the range before installing the Lakeline parts so I’d get a good before and after comparison. The feel after installing the striker assembly was noticeable. Smoothed out the gritty trigger feel.
