Replace the breakage prone, plastic factory striker guide with a stainless steel striker guide for the Springfield XDs pistols (first generation, not MOD2), part number 27 on the Springfield diagram. This striker guide will never crack or fracture causing your pistol to be unreliable with misfires or have light strikes.
Aluminum is nearly as bad as plastic in that it galls and gouges when a screwdriver or other tool is used disassembling the slide.
The finely finished surface of the Stainless Steel Striker Guide helps smooth your XDs trigger and provides for consistent trigger feel compared to the plastic, factory striker guide.
Our striker guide is precision machined from 303 stainless steel and only takes minutes to install. Plastic breaks and cracks while aluminum galls and gouges when a screwdriver or other tool is used disassembling the slide. Stainless is as hard or harder than a screwdriver. This is the last striker guide you will ever need for your Springfield XDs pistol.

Springfield couldn't have....?
If I'd have been intimately aware of that flimsy piece of plastic incorporated in such a consequential aspect of my .45 carry gun I just might have hesitated with allowing my life to depend on the hand gun. When you see the -metal- replacement in it's shipping container (1st rate! mind you) it looks pretty small and inconspicuous. When the striker assembly is dismantled, and the original is physically compared to the Lakeline upgrade part you will suitably impressed. I'll call it a tremendous engineering difference over the OE afterthought. Thank you SO0o -much- Lakeline, you knocked the ball out of the park with this one.

XDs Striker Spring Guide
Another quality product from Lakeline. After purchasing one for my Hellcat, I decided to pick one up for my Springfield XDs, and I was not disappointed. Quality craftsmanship and excellent fitment.
