Buffered Recoil Assembly for the Standard Taurus TX22  (does not fit the Competition, Compact, nor Gen2 versions) pistol that includes:
  • Fully Assembled Recoil Assembly

Available with end cap in Stainless, Black Nitride, or God (Titanium Nitride) Finishes.

Lakeline Stainless Steel Guide rods have a reputation for being tough, really tough!

The buffer absorbs and damps some of the shock load into the slide from the spring when firing the pistol. The polymer buffer rides against the slide, preventing anything steel from a spring or washer from riding on the soft aluminum slide as in other designs.  The Lakeline LLC Buffered Recoil Assembly simply can't mark or gouge the slide on your TX22.  There is nothing better to enhance the longevity of your TX22 slide.

The flat wire spring sees lower stress levels and has a longer life than round wire springs. The TX22 Guide rod and end screw are each machined from stainless steel.  The proprietary buffer is a tough, shock resistant polymer.

This is an engineered system that preserves the factory specifications and function of the TX22 slide.   The guide rod and springs are designed to work with the buffer to maintain the factory slide travel and minimize the forces on the slide.

The spring is precision ground on the end that engages the slide so it is very flat to prevent any undue wear on the TX22's aluminum slide.  The Lakeline LLC recoil assembly, when compressed to solid height, is the same as the factory specification to prevent damage from frame and slide contact during firing.  Others are not so carefully designed.  Slapping a weaker, 3D printed washer in your existing TX22 recoil assembly can increase the stress on your slide.

    Buffered Stainless Recoil Assembly TX22

Posted by Kelly on 20th May 2024

The 1st.trip to the range after replacing the factory spring with the Lakeline spring "recoil assbly." I had 3 jams out of 200 rounds. Calked it up as a new spring issue. The 2 & 3 time to the range, the gun ran flawlessly! 600 rounds total. Not one single issue. Very Happy with my purchase! Thank You!

Had a problem with the first spring sent to me. Customer service at Lakeline LLC is top notch. They have no phone number but they got back to me same day by email and sent me a new spring that is perfect. Can't wait to go shooting. Really good company to do business with. Thanks. Paul

I have put Lakeline guide rod/recoil assemblies in all my Taurus pistols. I believe they handle the forces generated better than the factory pilymer ones.

    TX22 Recoil Spring

Posted by Justin Skeens on 10th Sep 2023

I purchased this assembly to replace my stock one when I first heard about some guns breaking the nose of the slide off due to higher round counts. This spring assembly includes a buffer that should help soften the blow with each cycle and I hope this helps my pistol live a long and happy life. ?
