A Must Have... though could use improvement

Posted by Tactical Black on 3rd May 2023

The 3D printed base plate I received was grayish in color (ashy), but I was able to correct it with a Silicon Rod & Reel cloth to make the black color shine. The must have +2 extension install was straight forward, however you really have to work at the set screw, because the pre-drilled holes are not tapped for the screw. I 1st spent several minutes tapping (no heat) the bottom of the base plate until the screw was flush, and then spent several more minutes tapping (no heat) the locking strap until flush. Save your palm, and fingers by using a .050 bit driver over the provided Allen key. There is a little bit of wiggle from the base plate & locking strap, but I don't believe it will be a problem, but time will tell. Lakeline: thanks for the feedback. The ashy stuff is the release agent from the 3D printing process. We try to remove, sorry it slipped through. Will work on hole. We have drop tested the heck out of this and it holds.
